E.B.F.H.S. Band and Choir Earn High Ratings

On Saturday, May 5th, the Eddyville Blakesburg Fremont Concert Band and EBF Rocket Chorale performed at State Large Group Contest at Woodward Grainger High School in Woodward. Bands and choirs at the contest were evaluated in several categories by a panel of three judges. The music groups were rated on their performances using a scale of 1 through 5. A I rating indicates a superior performance. The EBF Concert Band earned a I rating and the choir was only one point away from a I rating. The EBFHS Concert Band has earned a Division I rating 23 of the last 24 years. The choir performance was excellent. The directors were very proud of both performances.

The EBF Rocket Chorale recently completed a trip to Chicago where they earned a Gold rating at Boling Brook High School.

The EBFHS Band is directed by Joe Overton and the EBFHS Choir is directed by Chris Ellerston.
