PELLA—The Central College wrestling team maintained their No. 23 spot in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III rankings.

In the individual rankings, 197 pounder Matt Seabold (junior, Burlington) stayed put at No. 3 and Ryan Vandall (junior, Phoenix, Ariz., Moon Valley HS) bumped up to No. 5 at 165 pounds.

Seabold (14-0) added wins against Buena Vista and Dubuque to remain undefeated on the season. The junior has claimed the crown at both the Milwaukee School of Engineering Invitational and Central College Under Armour Invitational this season.

Vandall (22-2) was victorious against Loras, Dubuque and Buena Vista in the last two weeks, but suffered a narrow loss against Nick Michael of Wartburg at the Iowa Conference Duals on Saturday. His 22 wins is best on the Dutch roster.

Central is one of four conference schools in the rankings. Wartburg remains in the No. 1 spot while Luther and Coe are ahead of the Dutch at No. 12 and No. 15, respectively. Another team out of the Central Region, Cornell, fills the No. 11 spot. In total, 17 conference wrestlers are listed amongst the top-10 at their weight classes.

The Dutch are on the road Thursday night at William Penn for a 7 p.m. dual against the Statesmen in Oskaloosa.
