Dutch 7th Grade Football Too Much For Indians

Pella and Oskaloosa 7th Grade football teams mixed it up this week in Oskaloosa at the Community Stadium.

The Oskaloosa 7th Grade Football Team took on the Pella Dutch last night. Although the Indians fought hard they dropped the “A” game to Pella 10 to 30. The Indians began to rally early in the 3rd quarter but were unable to recover the deficit. Leading the scoring was a 50 yard touchdown run by Braxton Voss. Jarrod Parks ran in the two point conversion. The 4th quarter was dominated by the Indian defense as we added a safety to the night.

In the “B” game, the Indians played hard but lost 0 to 12. Highlighting the night was a couple of hard runs by Braeton Halverson and Payton Beason. There was also a 30 yard pass by Drake Roorda and a great catch by Jake Stek. The Indians had two drives that finished inside the red zone.

The 7th Grade Indians travel to Newton next Tuesday the 3rd.
