Double-Doubles Lead Nwagbaraocha to Award

Oskaloosa–Vashti Nwagbaraocha (Sr., Milwaukee, Wis., Exercise Science) posted a pair of double-doubles as she was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday.
Nwagbaraocha earned her second honor of the season (fourth in her career) after helping William Penn (15-1, 9-1 Heart) to two victories last week.
The senior posted 28 points and 13 rebounds in a win over #23 Central Methodist last Monday and then added 18 points and 12 rebounds versus Mount Mercy Thursday. For the week, Nwagbaraocha hit 57.7% of her shots and 88.9% of her free throws (14-for-15 vs. CMU). She also tallied seven steals, four assists, and four blocks during the week.
Nwagbaraocha, who has nine double-doubles this year, is currently averaging a near double-double of 18.9 points and 9.7 rebounds. She is shooting 58.1% from the field (79.3% FT) and has also recorded 35 assists, 34 steals, and 28 blocks.
Nwagbaraocha leads the Heart in scoring average and field-goal percentage.
The award is the second for the team this year.
