Donnie Middleton, 74, of Oskaloosa passed away early Wednesday morning, July 30, 2014, at his home in Oskaloosa.

Donnie Dean Middleton, son of Cecil B. and Opal L. (Kitzmann) Middleton, was born July 27, 1940, at the home of his parents near Gibson, Iowa.

The family moved to What Cheer in 1945. Donnie remained at home with his parents until 1994 when he was able to move to Imagine the Possibilities in Oskaloosa. He enjoyed living there and thrived under the loving care, comfort and companionship of the staff and his fellow housemates at Diamond Place.

Donnie’s family includes his brother, Cecil Middleton of Oskaloosa, several cousins and his Imagine the Possibilities “family”.

In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Marilyn Middleton.

Memorial services for Donnie will be held at 2 p.m., Friday afternoon, August 1, 2014, at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel, with Mr. Jeffrey Morris officiating.
Burial – As was his wish, his body has been cremated and burial of his ashes will be in Indianapolis Cemetery near What Cheer.
Visitation – The family will greet visitors from 1 p.m. to service time on Friday.
