DeRonde Earns State XC Appearance

Oskaloosa Sophomore runner Patrick DeRonde has qualified for the Class 3A State Cross Country Meet to be held next Saturday, November 2nd, at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge.

DeRonde finished 14th, accomplishing the Central College course in 17:36.23, to qualify as an individual. The boy’s team finished 6th in the 11 team Class 3A District meet. Kadin Gerard had a strong finish in 17th, while Brayden Van Kampen finished 32nd. Aden Scott finished 39th, while Phillip Abrahamson 50th, and Caden Ayala 53rd.

The girls finished 9th. Addi Carter led the Indians finishing 32nd, Abby Lumsden 40th, Sage Adam 44th, Addy Dykstra 54th, Paiven Knoot 56th, and Olivia Stodghill 62nd.

DeRonde will run at the State Meet at 12:30 pm next Saturday.
