Denise Louise Johnson, age 40, of Lovilia, and formerly of Eddyville, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Denise was born on June 23, 1978, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the youngest child of Dennis Wayne and Mary Rosanna (Werner) Johnson.

Denise was raised in Eddyville and graduated from Eddyville High School, Class of 1996.

After high school Denise worked as a C.N.A. in Albia and later she worked in private home health care.

Denise was blessed with one son, Donald.

Denise is survived by her son, Donnie Lindly of Drakesville; Donnie’s father, Donald Lindly; her mother, Mary (& Willie) Luse of Eddyville; her father, Dennis (& Sue) Johnson of Newton; two brothers: Dave (& Gina) McDonough of rural Eddyville, Danny McDonough of Kirkville, Iowa; one sister, Dee (& Ray) Johanson of Newton. Denise is also survived by her grandmother, Mildred Johnson.

Denise is preceded in death by her brother, Christian Johnson in infancy; grandparents, Homer and Pearl Werner; and grandfather, Robert Johnson.

Denise’s wishes were to be cremated.
A celebration of life will be held at the Eddyville Funeral Chapel on Monday, October 1, 2018 beginning at 12:00 P.M., with her family will be present from 6:00 –8:00 P.M. to greet family and friends.
A memorial has been established to Denise’s family for funeral expenses. The Eddyville Funeral Chapel is assisting Denise’s family with services.
