David Lyle, 68, of Rose Hill, passed away Sunday morning, September 5, 2021, at his home near Rose Hill. David Franklin Lyle, son of Elmer Eugene and Barbara Jean (Lillig) Lyle, was born April 21, 1953, in Ottumwa, Iowa.

David was raised in Sigourney, where he was a 1971 graduate of Sigourney High School.

On December 10, 1982, David married Sally Rae Asher in Sigourney, and they made their home in rural Rose Hill.

David was previously employed at Superior Ideal Manufacturing in Oskaloosa, where he met his wife, Sally. He held various jobs until eventually retiring as an over-the-road truck driver for Dickey’s Transport.

In his spare time, David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending auctions.

David’s family includes his wife, Sally, and a brother, George Lyle of Keithsburg, Illinois.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mark.

As was his wish, David’s body has been cremated. Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with his arrangements.
