Curtis Jenkins, 49, of Oskaloosa died Sunday evening, July 6, 2014, at his home in Oskaloosa. Curtis Lee Jenkins, son of Richard Vail and Henrietta Arlene (Scholtus) Jenkins, was born November 25, 1964, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. He was a 1983 graduate of Oskaloosa High School.

Curtis married Tawnee Lee Smith, November 8, 1996, in Oskaloosa. They lived in Pella and later Oskaloosa. Curtis worked at various construction jobs, for Binn Shinn Trucking, Skyline Ready Mix and for the last four years he drove a cement mixer for Ideal Ready Mix. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, construction projects and working on cars. Curtis will always be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.

His family includes his wife of 17 years, Tawnee; his children: Ashley Marie, Carley Lee, Tasha Marie and Zane Lee, all of Oskaloosa; two grandchildren: Tucker Joe and Carson Joel Jenkins; his brother and sister-in-law, Clinton & Anne Jenkins of Boone; and nieces and nephews: Shannon, Reagan, Liam and Kellen Jenkins.

In addition to his mother, Curtis was preceded in death by his grandparents: Clifford and Beulah Jenkins, and several uncles and aunts including Betty LeMay.

Funeral Services for Curtis will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Pastor Mike Sereg officiating.
Burial will be in Kensler Cemetery S.E. of Delta.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the funeral chapel; the family will be present from 4-7 p.m. to greet visitors.
Memorials may be made to the family.

The funeral chapel should be accessed by using North Market ST and East Glendale Rd. due road construction on N. 3rd ST.
