CPL Kenneth Eugene Ford was born March 22, 1932 in Monroe County, Iowa. He was the fourth child, in a family of 9 boys and 1 girl, to William A. and Myrtle I. Ford.

Kenny grew up in the Hocking area, near Albia, and attended a country school there.

Kenny enlisted in the Army July 29, 1949 at age 17. He had basic training at Fort Riley, Kansas and combat training in Camp Hood, Texas. He came home on leave July 24, 1950 and his next assignment was Korea. On December 2, 1950 Kenny was listed as Missing in Action. His remains were returned in 2018 and identified in 2019.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday June 22, 2022 at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Corners Cemetery in Eddyville.
In Lieu of flowers, the family would request donations be made to the Welcome Home Soldier Memorial in Albia.
