Connie Moore, age 75, of Oskaloosa, died Sunday, September 1, 2019, at her home in Oskaloosa. She was born September 20, 1943 to Raymond Stout and Mary Jane (Fox) Kerr in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Connie attended school in Oskaloosa where she met the love of her life, Gary Moore. They were married on September 2, 1961 in Knoxville, Iowa. To this union 2 children were born, Christine and Terry.

Connie was a homemaker for most of her life. She cared for Gary as he traveled and worked on various construction projects. Taking care of her family was always her first priority.

In her earlier years, she enjoyed camping trips and going fishing. She loved to go shopping and take trips to the Casino. Connie was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family.

She is survived by her husband of almost 58 years, Gary Moore of Oskaloosa; her children, Christine Kerr and Terry Moore both of Oskaloosa; her grandchildren: Justin Duggar of Newton, Jasper Pothoven of Des Moines and Jesse Moore of Dubuque; 6 great grandchildren and another one on the way; her siblings: Mike (& Mary) Stout of Oskaloosa, Georgette (& Lee) Alexander of Wright, IA and Larry (& Gloria) Stout of Oskaloosa. She is also survived by her in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and his wife, Raymie (& Nona) Stout; and a brother, Chris Stout.

As was Connie’s wish her body has been cremated.
No services are planned at this time. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
