Community Neighborhood Gives Back

The Lacey Recreation Trail

Oskaloosa Community Recreation Trail

The neighborhood of Fox Run in Oskaloosa donated their time and money to help better the sustainability of their community’s outdoor recreation. Gary Junkins, a Fox Run resident himself, headed a team of Fox Run neighbors and friends to repair section’s of Oskaloosa’s Community Recreation Trail and Fox Run’s sidewalk. The Neighborhood Board – consisting of members Rob Saunders, Mary Beth Hunt, Carla Cristenson, Chuck Cunningham Jr., and Gary Junkins – voted and used their neighborhood collections to hire G&S Concrete to not only tear away the areas of the Fox Run portion of the trail that were in need of repair, but also to repair these areas with brand new concrete. Within two days, the old concrete was torn away and the new concrete was poured in its place. The community of Oskaloosa says “thank you”, as these new renovations will certainly help area users to enjoy the trail!
