IGNITE youth group from 1st Christian Reform Church in Oskaloosa demonstrated an enriching lesson in service with the youth volunteering for cleaning along a section of the Mahaska Recreation Trail. The exercise was in service to their community, and 32 young volunteers joined the project to give back by picking up trash and debris. Deann DeGroot, as one of the leaders of the youth group, coordinated with MCRF to take on the Marge addition loop and 63S underpass along the trail. Several bags were picked up as the youth widened their cleaning service to include a broad area surrounding the trail. Many thanks to the many volunteers for the cleaning service along the trail and giving back to the community!
