City of Oskaloosa Awarded Phase III Facade Grant Assistance

This summer, the City partnered with Area 15 Regional Planning Commission (RPC) to apply for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding through the Iowa Economic Development Authority. Notification has been received that Oskaloosa has been selected for $500,000 of grant funds for the rehabilitation of 11 downtown facades. With local funds (city/private property owners) in the amount of $358,825, and CDBG funds of $500,000, the entire project totals $858,825. Construction anticipated to begin in the spring of 2021.
