What Cheer Man Charged With Attempt To Commit Murder

On Saturday, March 3, 2018, the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old, Johnathan James Ray Walker, of What Cheer, Iowa for attempt to commit murder.

At approximately 12:40 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2018, the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing on Highway 22 near the city of Thornburg. Deputies responded and found a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals. The Sigourney Police Department assisted in the investigation.

A criminal charge is merely a criminal charge and not an indication of guilt. All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
