Charlotte June Raley, age 76, of Albia, IA, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Monroe Care Center in Albia, under the care of EveryStep Hospice. Charlotte was born on June 13, 1946, in Concordia, Kansas, to Vicki McDaniel. Vicki later married Leonard Milligan and Charlotte was raised by them.

Charlotte grew up attending school and graduated from the Creston High School in Creston, IA.

In her younger years, Charlotte waitressed at the Blue Bird Café in Albia and was later a homemaker. She was a former member of the VFW. She enjoyed crafts of all sorts, especially crocheting, and collecting anything that had to do with strawberries.

Charlotte is survived by a son, Mark (& Lori) Milligan; 1 grandchild; and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings: Johnnie Franklin, Charline Tamerius, Charles Milligan, and Harry Milligan (missing).

Per Charlotte’s wishes, her body has been cremated and a private family graveside service will be held at the Creston Cemetery at a later date.
