PELLA — Central College forward Brittany Hinton (senior, Davenport, West HS) was named the Iowa Conference women’s soccer offensive player of the week Monday.

Hinton helped the Dutch (9-4-3 overall, 4-1-1 conference) to a 2-0 record last week, scoring a goal in both of their matches. She scored a fourth-minute goal to give the Dutch a 1-0 lead in a 3-2 win over Luther College Saturday, and found the back of the net in Central’s 4-0 win over Cornell College Thursday.

The Central forward is second on the team with seven goals this season. She also has three assists on the year and leads the team in shots on goal with 23.

The Dutch have not lost since Sept. 27, and will be on the road Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. against Simpson in their final match of the regular season. Central is currently in second place in the conference standings.
