PELLA—Central College libero Dzenita Bahtic (junior, Urbandale) received all-Iowa Conference volleyball honors Thursday.

Bahtic led the conference with 5.14 digs per set (555 digs over 108 sets) with only 29 reception errors, 0.41 more digs than the next closest competitor. Bahtic eclipsed 30 digs four times and maxed out at 42 digs against William Penn Oct. 25. She is eighth on the Central all-time leaderboard for digs in a single season (555) and digs per game in a single season (5.14).

Bahtic was named conference volleyball defensive player of the week Oct. 29 following a 4-0 weekend at the Augustana (Ill.) Pumpkin Bash where she recorded a total of 124 digs without a single reception error.

Central finished the regular season with a 13-19 overall record, 2-5 conference record and seventh in the league standings.
