Central scores volleyball sweeps
CHICAGO, ILL. — The Central College volleyball team displayed some depth as it breezed past its final two opponents at the North Park (Ill.) Clash Saturday.
The Dutch defeated tourney host North Park 25-16, 25-12, 25-23 and Knox (Ill.) 25-21, 25-15, 25-15 as they used their entire bench. That lifted Central to 3-1 on the weekend and 6-2 overall.
“It was a good day,” coach Kent Clayberg said. “Everyone got a chance to play and it was nice that we got to exercise some of our depth.
“We continued to play with a good, fast rhythm and I felt very good about the kids who came in off the bench.”

Central makes its home-season debut Tuesday, meeting Iowa Wesleyan in a 7:30 p.m. match at P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium. A video webcast and live stats will be available through www.kniakrls.com.
