PELLA — Left out of the preseason poll, the Central College wrestling team is now No. 19 in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III rankings.

Individually, senior Cam Timok (senior, Glen Allen, Va. Hermitage HS) stayed at No. 3 at 133 pounds and senior Jeremy Vester (Oak Harbor, Wash.) is No. 10 at 165 pounds. Both wrestlers are 3-0.

Timok was the tournament champion at the Millikin Open last weekend, winning his first two matches by major decisions and winning the final 9-3 against teammate Chase Petty (senior, Pella).

Vester ran the tables at the Pointer Open on November 3, winning a trio of decisions. He beat Jordan Weinzell from the host school, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, 10-5 in the opener.

The Dutch host No. 9 Coe College Thursday night in P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
