OSKALOOSA, IA— The school year is winding down, now it’s time to plan an epic summer! Don’t miss out on the 20th year of Youth Theatre camps at the George Daily. This summer is packed full of adventures to the Moon, Time Bandits, trouble in the wizarding world, Theatre Olympics, and an epic birthday party!

This summer, campers will be able to dig deeper into their performing skills with the Advanced Skills Expansions. These afternoon-only expansions are for campers in 6-12 grades who are ready to take their arts education to the next level. Campers have the option to attend the Advanced Skills Expansions for free if already attending a week of camp, or they can attend just in the afternoons for $35. High school campers can also design an Advanced Skills Project, for an additional fee, to pair with any camp week so they can focus on their own creative goals at their own pace.

The summer kicks off on June 10th with a Trip to the Moon for grades K-12. Campers will explore Earth’s relationship with its closest celestial body by creating stories based on the study of everything lunar, from the classic French film “Trip to the Moon” to the first moon walk 50 years ago in 1969.

Camp runs from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. with programming available for kindergarten through high school for $85 per week. At the end of each session, campers will showcase what they learned and created throughout the week for family and friends. Free, healthy lunches will be provided for all campers through the Oskaloosa Summer Lunch Program.

Every week of camp has a different theme so campers can go as many weeks as they like and experience something new each time. Registrations are accepted up to, and on, the first day of camp.
