Brisker, Scorpil Seeking National Titles in Kansas

Oskaloosa–Brody Brisker (Fr., Wilton, Iowa, Sports Management) and Lane Scorpil (Sr., Columbus Junction, Iowa, Business Management) are ready to take on the nation’s best as they represent William Penn at the 69th Annual NAIA Men’s Wrestling National Championship Thursday through Saturday.

The Championship, which will be in Heartland Credit Union Arena in Park City, Kan., will include six sessions. Thursday’s first session of the double-elimination Championship will start at 11 a.m., including one round of both championship and consolation bracket action.

Brisker, making his first trip to nationals, is unseeded and will face No. 3 seed Nik Yancey of Campbellsville (Ky.) in the opening round. Brisker owns a 20-8 record.

Scorpil’s third nationals trip (two at WPU) will see him as the No. 15 seed. The senior, who is 7-4, is set to take on unseeded Zac Bosken of Reinhardt (Ga.) in his first match.
