BGM Slips Past NM Girls

BROOKLYN – Kylie Arment’s two-run homerun in the bottom of the sixth inning allowed BGM to upend North Mahaska 4-3 in South Iowa Cedar League play Tuesday.

North Mahaska scored twice in the top of the first inning and added another in the third while the host Bears scored singletons in the first and third. Regan Grewe had come in to pitch in relief and Arment took her pitch over the fence.

Kaylia Shipman hit two singles with an RBI and stole two bases. Olivia Ridgeway hit two singles and stole two bases as well. Grewe had two RBI on a single and stole a base.

Pinkerton went four innings allowing two runs on five hits and a strikeout.

Laila Morrison went the distance for BGM allowing three runs on six hits and fanned three.
