Betty Miller, 83, of West Burlington, Iowa and formerly of Fremont died Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Hospice House in West Burlington.

Betty was born Sunday, September 14, 1930 in Oskaloosa, the daughter of John and Marcella Maughan Kilfoil. She graduated from J. Sterling Morton High School in Cicero, Illinois. Following school she went to work as a nurse’s aide in Berwyn, Illinois. In 1951, Betty was united in marriage to Richard Stock and they later divorced. On October 10, 1953, she was united in marriage to Raymond Miller in Fremont, Iowa and he died October 6, 2001.

Following her marriage to Raymond, Betty stayed at home to raise her family. She enjoyed crocheting, camping with Ray, watching T.V., playing games with her grandchildren and spending time with her family.

Her family includes a son: Rick (& Darla) Miller of Marshalltown; two daughters: Karlene Carr and Teri (& Tim) Eagen all of West Burlington; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her twin sister: Beverly Cowman.
