Beasley Now a Five-Time Winner

Oskaloosa–Brandon Beasley (Sr., Indianapolis, Ind., Physical Education) continues to dominate league opposition, and as a result of his superior play from last week, he was again named Midwest Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday.

The senior earned his fifth award as #2 William Penn (23-1, 7-0 MCC) claimed a pair of wins over Grand View and St. Ambrose, extending its winning streak to nine games.

Beasley averaged 23.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks in the victories. His seventh double-double of the year came against Grand View with 22 points and 12 rebounds. He has now surpassed the 20-point mark 11 times this season.

The senior shot 70.8% from the floor (17-of-24), was 80.0% from behind the arc, and finished 66.7% at the line.

For the year, Beasley is averaging 19.1 points and 7.7 rebounds in addition to 83 assists, 57 steals, and 29 blocks. He is shooting 53.3% overall and owns a 69.1% clip from the charity stripe.

In MCC play, he is even better, pouring in 22.7 points with 8.0 rebounds per contest. He has scored at least 16 points in all of his team’s conference matchups.

The award is the seventh of the season for William Penn.
