Attacker of the Week Laurel to Krause
Oskaloosa–Landon Krause (Sr., Appleton, Wis., Business Management) hit double figures in all three of his matches en route to earning Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week honors Monday.
An eight-time recipient, this is Krause’s fourth overall award this year and fourth Attacker accolade of his career. The senior helped William Penn to three more victories last week.
His week began with a 10-kill showing against Clarke last Tuesday. In the win, he hit .471, while also recording one dig and one block. Three days later, Krause managed 12 kills and two aces versus Missouri Baptist. In addition to three blocks, he recorded 14 digs as well for a double-double.
The senior’s week wrapped up with his best performance, putting down 17 kills at a .654 clip against Health Sciences and Pharmacy last Saturday. The right-side hitter also tallied two aces, seven digs, and two blocks. The .654 hitting mark is his best of 2024.
For the year, Krause has accumulated 323 kills (3.80 per set) at a .337 hitting mark. He also has 28 aces, 159 digs (1.87 per set), 83 blocks (0.98 per set), and 17 assists to his credit.
The award is the fifth of the season for WPU.
