Another improvement for Dutch women in national soccer poll

PELLA — The Central College women’s soccer team added seven more votes to its total in the sixth week of the D3soccer.com top-25 poll released Tuesday.

Central (7-3-2) received 22 total votes with six teams closer to cracking the top-25 poll. Central was defeated on the road at No. 12 Wartburg by a 4-1 margin last Wednesday. The Dutch rebounded with a record-tying 11-0 win against Coe College at home Saturday. Central also secured a 1-1 road draw at Hope College (Mich.) on September 5, who is also receiving votes.

Central hosts Simpson College Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. and travels to No. 15 Loras College Saturday for a 1 p.m. match.
