Aderibigbe, Shaw Heading to Florida for Nationals

Oskaloosa–Adedoyin Aderibigbe (Fr., Cedar Hill, Texas, Sociology) and Crystal Shaw (Fr., Austin, Texas, Applied Computer Science) will see where they stand nationally as they compete at the U.S. Marines NAIA Women’s Indoor Track and Field National Championship Thursday through Saturday.

The 46th annual event, which is hosted by the Gainesville Sports Commission, will be held in Gainesville, Fla. at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center.

Both Statesmen have qualified in two events.

Thursday

Shaw opens the week with the triple jump at 3:30 p.m. She has the 23rd-best mark in the country at 37-8.5.

Friday

Shaw then continues her week by battling in the long jump at 11 a.m. The freshman’s jump of 18-6.5 is the 27th-best in the NAIA this season.

Aderibigbe has a busy afternoon, beginning with the 60-meter dash preliminary round at 1:45 p.m., followed by the 200-meter dash prelims at 4:20 p.m. She has the 19th-best 60 at 7.60 and the 33rd-best 200 at 24.88.

The finals for the 60 and the 200 are both on Saturday.
