South-East Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force

Ottumwa, Iowa – Additional people have been arrested on state drug charges as a result of a methamphetamine distribution investigation that led to the seizure of 33 pounds of ice methamphetamine on June 15th, 2013.

On August 13, 2013, Brett Alan Whittington, age 27, of Ottumwa, was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Deliver More Than 5 Grams of Methamphetamine, a Class “B” Felony.

On August 14, 2013, James Lee Fields, age 51, of Oskaloosa, was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Deliver More Than 5 Grams of Methamphetamine, a Class “B” Felony.

On August 14, 2013, Darrell Edward Elmer Cosgrove, age 28, of Eldora, IA, was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Deliver More Than 5 Grams of Methamphetamine, a Class “B” Felony.

On August 14, 2013, Alicia Ann Choate, age 19, of Eldora, IA, was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Deliver More Than 5 Grams of Methamphetamine, a Class “B” Felony.

Additional arrests are pending as a result of the investigation.

A criminal charge is merely a criminal charge and not an indication of guilt. All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
