Indians Two Strokes Short Of Title At Fairfield
by Coach Bret Foster
It was a tale of two 9s for the boys today. After getting off to a poor start, the Indians regrouped on the back 9 and played much better. 177 on the front and 156 on the back and ended up 2 strokes short of winning the team title at Fairfield. The boys ended with a team score of 333.
Hogan Rockhold led the team with an 80. Noah Van Veldhuizen has his best round of the year with an 82. Austin Hafner (83) and Carter Parks (88) rounded out the scorers. Joe Glasgow shot 92 and Lucas Bunnell had a 98.
With a better start, we come home with a team title, and the boys are well aware of it.
Varsity will be back at it Monday at Grinnell then have the rest of the week off to get ready for conference and postseason play.
JV will host their JV Invite on Thursday.
