Lukoseviciute named MWC Performer of the Week

GRINNELL, Iowa – After another huge performance, Grinnell College’s Agne Lukoseviciute ’21 has been rewarded by being named the Midwest Conference Women’s Track and Field Performer of the Week.

Lukoseviciute, from Darien, Ill. (Hinsdale South), broke the Grinnell school record in the weight throw for the fourth meet in a row. This time, at the Darren Young Classic, Lukoseviciute crushed her previous best by nearly 3 feet with a MWC-best effort of 52-1 ¾ to finish second. That came one week after the sophomore tossed 49-2 ¾. Also at the meet, Lukoseviciute threw 38-8 ¼ in the shot put, the third-best performance in the MWC this season and fourth-best in Pioneer history.

The MWC Men’s Performer of the week is Darius Williams of Monmouth College.
