Mahaska Health Welcomes First Baby of 2019

MAHASKA COUNTY – Wyatt Joseph Muell was born at 2:46 AM on January 1, making him Mahaska Health’s first baby of the year.
Wyatt weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 21 inches long upon his birth. His parents are Kevin and Christa Muell of Fremont. Wyatt was delivered by Dr. Angela Godejohn. The Muell family said they were pleased with their time at Mahaska Health. “Our experience was awesome. All the nurses were great,” said Christa.
Mahaska Health Birthing Center staff look forward to another year of helping families grow. “We have a great team of physicians and nurses ready to offer families personalized care,” said Birthing Center Director Heather Cook. “With our peaceful, private rooms and our variety of pain management solutions, which now includes epidurals, mothers have all the amenities they need to have a successful delivery. We look forward to serving more families like Wyatt’s.”
As the first baby of the year, Wyatt received gifts from Mahaska Health and Whispering Tree Gifts, the Hospital Auxiliary’s gift shop located just inside Entrance #4 on the Mahaska Health Campus.
The Mahaska Health staff wish Wyatt and his family all the best in the years to come.
