Miller chosen for volleyball all-tournament team at North Park

RIPON, WIS.— Tallying 20 blocks in three matches helped Central College volleyball right side hitter Melissa Miller (senior, Williamsburg) secure a spot on the North Park University Invitational all-tournament team.

Miller had seven blocks apiece in matches against Greenville College (Ill.) and Saint Mary’s College (Ind.). All 20 blocks were scored as assisted blocks.

The senior also had 10 kills against St. Mary’s. She totaled 21 kills over the three matches and had a hitting percentage of .268.

Outside hitter Krissa Larson (freshman, Waverly, Waverly-Shell Rock HS) was previously named to the all-tournament team at the Gargoyle Classic hosted by the University of Chicago (Ill.) and outside hitter Landry Luhring (freshman, Grundy Center HS) was chosen at the Red Hawks Invitational hosted by Ripon College (Wis.).

Central faces Grinnell College and Ripon College (Wis.) in a triangular at Grinnell on Saturday. The Dutch face the Red Hawks (5-10) at 2 p.m. and the Pioneers (9-9) at 4 p.m.
