Mahaska County YMCA Membership Drive

Mahaska County YMCA has added new treadmills

The Mahaska County YMCA has worked very hard at providing noticeable changes and improvements in support of our community. Surveys have went out, suggestions have been submitted and not one has gone unanswered or documented. The “Y” is here for you, for your health goals and for a positive experience for your whole family. The YMCA is so much more than just a fitness center; we are a family organization. We provide an exercise facility for both adults and youth, adult and youth sports programming, fulltime daycare, the only year-round pool and swimming lessons, a positive and safe environment for children, and much more. The Mahaska County YMCA has received a membership challenge forgivable donation of $50,000. You becoming our member will receive the benefit. Between now and February 28:

New Members

1. Bring a friend with you to join the “Y”, both of your enrollment fees will be waived, plus you will receive your 13th month free. (Valued at $132.00+)

2. If you enroll alone, 50% of your membership fee will be waived, plus receive your 13th month free. (Valued at $60.00)

Existing Members

1. Existing members bring in a new member, and the new member will receive their joiner’s fee for free, plus their 13th month free. (Valued at $66.00) The existing member will have their name put in a raffle for $500 Osky Cash.

The swimming pool area has been updated

If we reach 100 new adult or family members to join the Y during this time frame, the donation will be ours. “And, that many people will be on their way to a healthy lifestyle with support from the Y staff! We want you to come and check out our facilities with our newly added treadmills and programs and see the changes we have made and are continuing to make. “Come in to visit and take a tour, maybe even try out an exercise class while you are here” encouraged Laura Sarver, marketing and membership director. “Child and adult obesity rates are on the rise and the Y is doing everything we can to help and address the issue. We want to help adults, kids, and families with increasing their physical activity. Join our fitness classes, swim, exercise, join our youth programs or play in the gym. There are a lot of options for adults and families to get active.” The Y is here to help and complete our community and it needs your support to continue to offer critical programs that strengthen our community. The YMCA is located at 414 North Third Street. Members and volunteers are always welcome at the Y! For more information, call the Y at 673-8411, or check us out on the web at www.mahaskaymca.org.
