Younger Players Get Their Chance At Washington

Oskaloosa Head Coach Bret Foster said, “We played a little shorthanded today but it was a great experience for some inexperienced players. Spencer Tucker highlighted the day, winning the tournament individually with a 2-over 72! The other guys hit the ball well at times but had a couple mistakes here and there that cost them. The team finished 3rd and we competed well. I was glad to give some younger guys a chance to experience a varsity tournament and they all had some periods of success throughout the day. That could pay off sometime down the line for the program.”

“The Oskaloosa Invitational is next up on the schedule on Tuesday at Edmundson. This is probably one of the strongest field of teams in any tournament in the state and I’m excited to see how we compete at home!”

Tucker lead the Indians, with Austing Hafner and Hogan Rockhold each with a 44. The team had a score of 169. Washington lead all with a score of 161, with Pella scoring a 164.
