Indians Claim Little Hawkeye Conference Dual Meet Championship

Oskaloosa Indians

With wins over Pella and Grinnell, the Indians ended the conference season 6-0.

Oskaloosa Head Coach Bret Foster said, “The boys were able to win tonight’s very close and evenly contested quadrangular. We needed to get some balanced scoring this time in order to get the win and we were able to do that. Every shot was needed and the guys battled hard for them. We are getting closer to being where we need to be but we still have areas we can improve on and we will.

“The JV also got the wins tonight behind some improved scoring. They are all making progress as they get more experience. We had a few very excited guys after the meet! Its good to see their enthusiasm!”

Austin Hafner lead the way for the Indians, scoring a 38 on the Osky Golf course. Spencer Tucker ended the night with a 40, and Hogan Rockhold and Noah Van Veldhuizen each scored 42. The Indians had a team score of 162.

Pella was a close with a 164, lead by John Oltman. Grinnell was only one shot behind Pella, with Lucas Scherf scoring a 34.
