Trip Being Planned To Commemorate 75th Anniversary Of D-Day

Teachers from Oskaloosa and EBF are coordinating an educational trip to Italy and France to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day in June 2019. Trip highlights include three days in Rome, including a day trip to Monte Cassino, before traveling to Normandy to set foot on the beaches, see the American cemetery, and visit D-Day memorials and museums. We will also participate in 75th-anniversary ceremonies that commemorate the Normandy landings. Travelers will then visit Versailles and Paris before heading home. The trip is open to all current middle school and high school students, including students in the HSAP. There will be one more informational meeting for parents on Thursday, February 22nd at 6:00 p.m. at Oskaloosa Middle School. Contact Laura Ross at rossl@oskycsd.org for more information.
