Knoxville Too Much For Rockets

Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets

Remarks by Rockets Coach Gladys Genskow. “We knew this was going to be a huge conference match up. I thought our focus was there, they were hungry to win, but fell short of the task. I am proud of how they never gave up and played hard the entire match. Set 4 was a heart breaker to lose 28-30. It comes down to who makes the least errors when two team meet and who can better the ball out of system. We had too many serving errors as well as hitting errors. It is frustrating that we can’t terminate the ball effectively. We passed better than we had been passing, but the errors come back and take over. We will come back to practice and work on those mistakes that take us out of a match along with taking our intensity at practice to a higher level. We will need to bounce back from this lose and keep focused on improving our game. We are at the Newton tournament this Saturday with good competition to help improve our play. Our next conference match will be at Davis Count on Oct. 3rd.”
