During the afternoon hours of Thursday, July 6th, 2017, the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 1212 High Avenue West, in Oskaloosa. This warrant authorized a search of the residence and garage for stolen property.

Shortly upon entering the residence, Deputy Sheriffs located several pieces of drug paraphernalia. A second search warrant was applied for and received. This second warrant authorized a search of the residence for illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.

During the execution of these warrants, Deputies located and seized multiple pieces of property believed to have been stolen in 6 different burglaries throughout Mahaska County and Oskaloosa. Also, seized were several items of drug paraphernalia and a quantity of controlled substances.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted with the execution of these warrants by the Oskaloosa Police Department and the Mahaska County Emergency Management Agency. This investigation is ongoing and criminal charges are pending.
