Oskaloosa City Band – Press Release – June 20, 2017

The Oskaloosa City Band will perform Thursday evening at 8 p.m. on Oskaloosa’s historic bandstand. This week’s special guest soloist will be Bruce McLellan on violin. The band will play a wide variety of music including two rock-n-roll hits from the 1980’s and the theme song from a long running TV series (1978-1991).

Audience members are encouraged to add to the list of birthdays and anniversaries on the clipboard at the bottom of the bandstand steps during the concert.

Supper in the Park festivities begin at 5:30 with yard games provided by Mahaska Drug. This week’s food vendors will be WanderLunch, Calico Jack’s and Sno-Biz. Plan to spend an enjoyable evening along with friends and neighbors at this week’s concert in the City Square Park.
