OHS Boys And Girls Track Take Part In State Pentathlon

Members of the Boys and Girls Track and Field teams took part in the State Pentathlon which took place on
Central’s campus in Pella, IA.

Each member had to complete in all 5 events. (100/110 hurdles, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put and 800 m run) There is a point value attached to each distance or time for each event competed. The faster the time in the race or the further/ higher the distance in the field event the more points an athlete earns.

Girls scoring –
Alexis Westercamp 18th with 1793 points.
Cara Roquet 21st with 1551 points.
Shalandra Shilling 23rd with 1492 points.
Leah Wilcox 25th with 1153 points.

Boys Scoring *top 10 are medalists
Jaden VanRoekel 12th with 2914 points.
Andy Sterner 28th with 2407 points.
Carter Huyser 33rd with 2324 points.
Jacob Hacker 38th wth 2073 points.
Talon Munger 42nd with 1952 points.
