Indian Boys Golf Season Gets Underway At Willow Creek

The Oskaloosa Boy Golf team got their season underway at Willow Creek Golf Course under some very tough conditions. Head Coach Bret Foster said, “It was cold, raining and the golf course was completely saturated. They played well and I didn’t hear any complaints so kudos to them.”

“It might have been the closest triangular I’ve seen yet,” added Foster about the close competition. “It was a good start to the year with plenty of room for improvement.”

Oskaloosa was edged out by Norwalk by 2 strokes, 165 – 167. Oskaloosa topped Newton by 1 stroke.

Newton’s Austin Reynolds came in with a 37, while Oskaloosa’s Spencer Tucker scored a 38. Norwalks Blake Johnson had a 39. Par for the course is 36.

Other Oskaloosa scores are, Hogran Rockholo 42, Austin Hafner 43, Noah Van Veldhuizen 44, Tucker Erwin 49, and Lucas Bunnell 52.
