IGNITE Holds Easter Morning Service at Forest Cemetery

Christ is risen, hallelujah! Join IGNITE (the youth group) of Oskaloosa First Christian Reformed Church Sunday, April 16 at 8:00 am as they lead an Easter Sunrise Service in Forest Cemetery just north of the church. Park at the church, bring your lawn chairs and plan to join the service. There will be some space available to listen and participate from your vehicles if preferred. Refreshments will be served in the Fellowship Hall following. Inclement weather will bring the service to the Fellowship Hall.

The youth will lead you in a time of hymns, praise songs and message. Pastor Paul Hoekstra will speak from Matthew 28. It will be a time to celebrate the risen Lord and Christ. The speakers will take you from Christ’s humble birth to His crucifixion and death, followed by his glorious resurrection. You will hear of the salvation he brings, forgiveness of sin, victory over death AND the gift of eternal life. Yes, Christians understand the resurrection together with the cross to be history’s most important event. The despair of all past history is reversed by it. The hope of all future history is enabled by it. It is of all events the most illuminating disclosure of God’s plan of salvation.

First Christian Reformed Church is located at 815 N 11th Street. Plan now to celebrate our risen Lord. The 9:30 am service will be meeting in the church as usual. Come celebrate our risen Savior.

If you have any questions on IGNITE or the Easter service, call the church at 641.673.4272 or email firstcrcosky@mahaska.org.
