What makes the wind blow? How are storms formed? The Mahaska County Conservation Board invites you to come out to the conservation center at the Russell Wildlife Area from 6:30 – 7:30 pm on Friday, March 10th to learn about basic weather information. This informative and hands-on science program will help you make sense of upcoming spring storms. Participants will enjoy interactive science experiments about wind, tornados and air pressure. It’s FREE and great for all ages!

Please pre-register by 4:30 pm on March 9th by calling the Mahaska County Conservation Board office at (641)673-9327. The Russell Wildlife Area is located at 2254 – 200th Street, New Sharon which is 4 miles north of Oskaloosa on Hwy. 63 and one mile east on 200th Street.
