William Penn Enters Heart Tourney at #2 in NAIA
Oskaloosa–The Statesmen men’s basketball team will look for the league title sweep to remain #2 in the nation as the sixth NAIA Division I poll was released Tuesday.
William Penn (27-3) is again second nationally with 242 points. The navy and gold, who have won nine games in a row, will await the winner of Tuesday’s night’s Baker-Peru State play-in round matchup to see who it plays in Thursday’s Heart of America Athletic Conference Quarterfinal game in Oskaloosa (7 p.m.).
William Penn is joined by fellow Heart programs Grand View (#22) and Benedictine (#24) inside the top 25.
LSU Alexandria enters conference tournament action still undefeated at 29-0; it is #1 with 250 points and all 10 first-place votes. Dalton State (Ga.), Carroll (Mont.), and Hope International (Calif.) follow WPU to round out the top five.
