7th Grade Indians Overmatched Newton
The 7th grade girl’s A team were in action last Thursday night as they took on Newton! The girls dominated the game executing our new Pick and Roll offense! Every girl looked to attack on the drive which led us to get a lot of layups and good looks at the basket. To go with our good offensive outing the girls played tough and aggressive full court man to man defense! The girls stayed low and moved their feet well along with getting their hands in the passing lanes. The Indians overmatched Newton winning the game 34-18!Aubree Blanco: 8 points

The B team worked hard to attack the basket using both the pick and roll offense and our two man part from our modified triangle offense. Not all the shots were falling for the Indians but the girls were able to get a number of good looks. The girls also played good defense keeping Newton off the scoreboard for most of the game winning 12-1!

The C team also struggled with getting good looks at the basket but shots not falling. Like the B team they found success using the two man part of our triangle offense. The girls have been improving and working hard on all aspects of the game from layups to our offense and defense. They worked hard to get stops on the defensive end and were able to mount a little comeback to win the game 14-10!
