Pella Christian Girls down Oskaloosa 73-36

The last time Oskaloosa and Pella Christian played on December 2nd the Indians played their best quarter of basketball and actually led P.C. into the 2nd quarter. The Lady Eagles were not going to make the same mistake twice as they raced out to an 18-8 1st quarter lead and never looked back. P.C. was deadly from 3-pt range as Kaley Wilson and Brooke Mitrisin rained in 3s throughout the first half. The Eagles led 32-15 at the half. Oskaloosa continued to struggle with turnovers as they committed over 30 in the game.
Sariah Strovers was a bright spot for the Indians as she had her best game of the year in scoring 8 points. Alexis Westercamp and Marleigh Denderger each scored 6 points while Leah Van Maanen scored 5. Lindsey Holmberg chipped in 4 points. Brooke Mitrisin and Kaley Wilson led the Eagles in scoring. P.C. improves to 11-4 overall and 4-4 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
Oskaloosa drops to 2-12 overall and 0-8 in the conference. The Indians host highly ranked Grinnell on Tuesday night in Oskaloosa starting at 6:15pm.
