WPU Succumbs to Grand View

William Penn University Athletics

Des Moines–The Statesmen wrestling team was not able to pull off a huge upset Tuesday in a 52-6 dual loss to #1 Grand View.

In a very fast event that only featured six contested matches, WPU (2-2) got off to a good start as 125-pounder John Altieri (So., Warwick, R.I., Sociology) earned a forfeit to put the visitors ahead 6-0.

Unfortunately, that was where the good vibes ended as the Vikings won actual bouts at 133, 141, 149, 157, 184, and 197 pounds.
