William Penn Still Fourth as Third Poll Released

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen men’s basketball team lost once, but also picked up three big wins since the last rating as it held its position in the third NAIA Division I top-25 poll which was released Tuesday.

William Penn (14-2, 10-2 Heart) is still #4, earning 168 points from the nation’s raters. WPU continues to lead the Heart of America Athletic Conference in the poll as Grand View is #17 and Graceland is #25. Benedictine is unofficially 32nd in the NAIA.

LSU Alexandria, the only undefeated program left in NAIA Division I, remains #1 with 188 points and all eight first-place votes. Georgetown (Ky.) is second, while Columbia (Mo.), WPU, and Westmont (Calif.) round out the top five.

William Penn travels to Cedar Rapids Wednesday to face Mount Mercy in Heart action at 7:30 p.m.
