at the Russell Wildlife Area

Kids, get out of the house during your winter break and come out to the Russell Wildlife Area to have fun and learn about nature on a winter day! The Mahaska County Conservation Board is inviting kids and their families to the conservation center on Friday, December 30th from 1:00 – 4:00 pm for some outdoor and indoor winter activities. Please dress for the weather because we will go outside for a while then go back indoors for a popcorn snack and a movie. This year, our movie will be “Flipper” (1996). This event is for all ages.

Please pre-register by calling MCCB at (641)673-9327 because we have limited space.

The Russell Wildlife Area is located at 2254 – 200th Street, New Sharon, Iowa which is four miles north of Oskaloosa on Hwy. 63 and one mile east on 200th Street. Hope to see you there!
